Helping build more homes, faster in Burnaby
The Government of Canada and the City of Burnaby have reached an agreement to fast track the construction of 1,290 housing units over the next three years. This is part of the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF), which aims to eliminate barriers to building affordable housing. The funding will support zoning reforms, technology use, and the delivery of non-market housing. The HAF is expected to lead to the creation of over 250,000 new homes across Canada in the next decade.
